Cho Jazz 2 weeks summer Workshop in Poland 

Special time can give you special creativity.. both workshops summer 2025 Poland-

in Leszno and Cho Jazz gives everybody the opportunity to grow ..
a lot of students took this and started to create music , with teacher or without ..
I’m very thankful to be a part of that Prozess and goes also the other way ..
yes , my roots are all standards and Be bop stuff –
connected later to ECM and guys like Mathias Eicks, Molvaer , Stephane. Belmondo. Randy Brecker and so many others
and also a lot of music not connected to trumpet…
when I do my music, I love to deal with open minded musicians and we start the creative process .
As I sayed about me : I’m a realtime composer and feel a lot of freedom in those moments…

I heared very good and interesting concerts at Cho Jazz and some have impact on me like Baranski for shure and Adam Wendt , who created music ,which is very close to my thinking and playing…

As Napierkowski sayed : ,, each note matters” I want to add : ,, each meeting matters “ For the workshop at Cho Jazz , I can say , Bydgoszt must have a special jazz Departement .. a lot of creative guys showed up and started the Prozess of joy and hard word ( and party too I guess ) .. thinking about hard working people : Thxs to a Stuff at the reception and from Dom Kultury, Sound guys on all stages and the unseen guys who are there when needed .

We take many things for just granted , but these guys are behind all work and support and work hard on their fields ..

yeah .. I’m happy that we made it again .. no sadness.. more respect for each guy I deal with ..

friendship is a big word but we got very close have safe travels back and take hollidays and make a plan to work ..

Summer Workshops end at Final day at Cho jazz 2025 …

After now 3 weeks in a row , no more teaching. Great..just practice and little play on final concert .

Today is my first day of retirement from university of musc Würzburg jazzzzzzz no longer….

I realized, I could stay wherever I am and they pay me…..unbelievable…..

But Sunday night I will be at home and have some nice drinks to all participants : enjoy what you do every day ..

this is a lifetime goal for me… my Fazit : Poland got some incredible talents to create realy good and deep music..

I enjoyed my time with incredible teachers jams….guys : thank you all !

after 37 years, i retire from my Professor ship for Jazz Trumpet-Combo and Big Band

He brought me into Herman Zilcher Konservatorium Würzburg !

1988 or a little later , for shure after great talks and again support , in this case by Jürgen Hahn !!!!
And later Leszek was my chief at CHO Jazz summerworkshop Poland –

At Konservatory Würzburg I met Chris Beier and he did outstanding job to get

the Jazz Departement of Konservatorium into the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg,

which gave me the chance to become a Professor

This was not so easy – i tryed in Berlin and Köln too and Würzburg was third and after 2 stressful days check, including concert, with Michael Wollny -Kriener -Ley i got the job.

Later in years Piotre Baron brought me to International Jazz Workshop Leszno – Poland and things went over the years very very good.- my cooperation with Yamaha ( Thomas Lubitz and Eddie Veit later on ) and now since decades with Adams Brass , is realy a good and happy part of my live.

Miel Adams is the man.

So, i,m concentrating now on my summer workshops- meeting friends again and make new friends..challenging is only the border at the moment.–

my last thoughts and wishes for HFM Würzburg with 4 shure a little less open minded Jazz in future : Guys , you have exams now.

Never forget : you do and play , because you want this.

I know it,s also mental stress for some,

but don,t forget : it,s your life and you choosed to go this way.

You play , because YOU want it. And i want too. I go practice now. That’s it.

Die neueste Veröffentlichung von Hans Peter Salentin, „Nice and Easy“, entstand in einer kreativen Zusammenarbeit mit dem Produzenten Taato Gomez, und das Ergebnis ist ein faszinierendes Album, das sowohl Groove als auch Anspruch bietet. Mit 13 stimmigen, kleinen Stücken entführt die CD die Zuhörer in eine musikalische Welt, die ihren Titel „Nice and Easy“ in einem überraschend vielschichtigen Licht erscheinen lässt.

Es ist eine unglaubliche Leistung ,eine solche Idee zu haben und über 54 Jahre ! umzusetzen. Das geht natürlich nur mit der Unterstützung vieler Menschen und Organisationen. Danke an alle, aber mein persönlicher Dank geht an Marcin Kita ! ( Supervisor and Goodfather ) und Rafal Sarnecki ( für deine ganze Organistationsarbeit der Combos vom Anfang bis zum dem Festival Marathon ) und an Janusz Szrom ( my friend ! ) .. Der Wert dieser Veranstaltung zeigt sich am Ergebnis. Menschen aus unterschiedlichen Orten treffen sich und nach 14 Tagen kennt jeder jeden und jede und viele Gemeinsamkeiten werden auf der Bühne geteilt. Cho Jazz ist etwas besonderes und außergewöhnlich . Danke !
